Lovely Lisa et Moi

August 26, 2009

Herro Herro! Hope all is well out there in the static of the radiowaves. I hear from listeners who are tuning in via kuci.org stream are getting alot of static during the show, and for this I apologize. Hopefully these blogs are helping you tune in given the circumstances that you cannot access the kuci.org stream or listen in at 88.9fm. Though, I highly recommend listening live. This is because I love hearing your feedback while I am on the air, but more so because I plan to have a few more ticket give away promotions in the near future.

In other breaking news, Lovely Lisa came onto the show today. It was a true pleasure having her in the studio today. Also, because she so kindly came with me to my first Animal Collective concert with me. Needless to say she did not so much enjoy Animal Collective nor Eric Copeland, though the adventure was memorable, and I surely enjoyed every moment. So thank you Lovely Lisa for helping to create the foundation of this Animal Collective passion which has now become my radio show.

In other other breaking news: a 13.5 foot truck drove under a 12 foot tunnel. Moral of the story? Do not trust your GPS or computers, and remember that you have a brain for a good reason. :]

Thank you all who tuned in, I am still surprised to see I have so many listeners tuning in online. Please if you are listening out there give me a comment, IM : thebansheebeats, or comment here on the blogspot.

Tune In and Tune Out

August 19, 2009 Show

A more relaxed show this week, but one that was most needed. Sometimes its nice just to chill out to some music, and so I choose to play some more of that on this show. I really enjoyed this show. An came by the station and kept me company. It was pleasant. Not much to say today :P

Street Scene, Devendra Banhart, and CocoRosie concert are coming up pretty soon. I cannot even begin to explain how excited I am. I really look forward to seeing them, as they are both on the top 5 favorite bands of mine (hence why I play them so frequently).

Someone called into the show and suggested I listen to the new Ariel Pink album, so hopefully I can get my hands on that for you all by next week.

I am really falling in love with my radio show. At first it was a lot of work, and I really did not think people were listening, so once again thank you for all of your support and feed back.

Tune in next week for a bunch of good stuff, as I plan to discover a few new bands over the weekend. Thank you for listening!

First Ticket Giveaway Success

This set was extremely productive. I am finally starting to get the hang of this whole radio show stuff, and I think it is starting to show.

Congratulations to Perry who won two free tickets to the upcoming Placebo concert. Stay tuned for more ticket giveaways.

Really, thank you all for listening and staying in touch with the blog. I just realized that in less than a few months I have had listeners and followers in many places, including (but who knows if it is limited to): Colorado, New Jersey, California, Africa, Switzerland, and Israel. The support does not go unappreciated.

In other breaking news, Symbiosis is upon us and creeping up slowly. This festival is part music, part art, and part camping. It is going to be a great way to end the Summer with a memory, so if you are still looking for that big event to go out on before heading back to the coal mine, you might want to check it out. Some of the MANY performers will include CocoRosie, and Alex Gray.
