What is the best part about doing your show?
The best part of my show is when someone takes the time to actually call in and say how much they enjoy what I am playing, I take a long time preparing a playlist, so when someone takes the time to call in, I know I’m doing something right! Like I keep telling my listeners, this is not "my show." It is your show. If not for the listeners, the show would die.

Usually, I start the show with some old rock steady and move into a roots reggae...

Mikal Cronin - MCII – (Merge)
This is the second album Mikal Cronin has made, and it’s all about new beginnings. It’s lo-fi garage fuzz with sweet vocals, sure to make any watermelon popsicle even sweeter, especially since summer is approaching. My favorite is “Change.” This album will sure make any jellyfish start to jive.

I think I like this band more every day. These Texans follow up their fantastic debut with a sophomore effort that's more than worthy of checking out. It's their atmosphere and dark subject matter that pulls them into the 'metal' arena, but that classification is flimsy given that they are almost completely acoustic.
