KUCI Night at the Yost Theater is TONIGHT - Expect movie ticket giveaways and more...

TONIGHT is the night. KUCI continues its monthly concert series at the Yost Theater (the fourth Thursday of every month btw). We will be giving away 25 movie passes (each one admits two people) to the midnight showing of The Final Destination and Halloween 2. That means you get to see an awesome show with four bands for $8 and you will most likely win a chance to see a movie right after. AND we will be giving away some frisbees and shirts too.

Should be lots of fun. It's all ages. And you're all in for a pretty darn amazing show.

KUCI's Local Music Mondays at Blue Laguna w/Matt Kollar & the Angry Mob AND Cory Case

KUCI is bringing you a special local acoustic show at Blue Laguna lounge every MONDAY!! This week it's Matt Kollar and the Angry Mob AND Cory Case. Show starts at 9:30 p.m. AND it's all ages and free. This intimate restaurant and lounge is trying to bring some Orange County music to their side of town. Thank goodness for that. Laguna Beach needs a place for our local musicians to get out there.

iStock Concert this SUNDAY!!

The City of Irvine is putting on a free concert in the park. Heck yes to that. And KUCI will be there to support this awesome lineup of all Irvine bands, including Melanoid, Polaris At Noon and The Impulse. Also, I will be introducing the bands and will have some fun music trivia for you all. Show starts at 5:30 p.m and will take place at Woodbridge Community Park. Hope to see you all there!

Guess what????! The once Fullerton-based band Cold War Kids are playing in their current hometown of Long Beach TONIGHT for the awesome Busker Fest, presented by LA Record.

Walk The Rio win a spot on this Sunday's WARPED TOUR!

CONGRATS to Fullerton band Walk The Rio. They just won the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, which means they are playing this Sunday's Warped Tour in LA! WTR went up against 1,200 bands and kicked BUTT! Not surprised... Orange County music rocks.

Go check them out this Sunday at Warped Tour and please hoot and holler for them since I can't be there, unfortunately KUCI has a concert in the park to support that day.

Argyle Smile, who released a new EP only a few months ago, will be on this Thursday's show from noon to 2 p.m. They will be playing an acoustic set and new music!

Mississippi Man on Press Pass Music this THURSDAY!

Hello all! It's been a very busy lately. Last week, KUCI was at the OC Fair AND it was amazing!! Find photos here: www.myspace.com/kucinights - The New Limb and The Steelwells performed! And KUCI's third show at Blue Laguna on Monday was a success as well with a special acoustic show with The New Limb and Handsome G. Next Monday at Blue Laguna is Oliver Jane, Camp Out and Dash Jacket. Free and all ages btw.

AND I haven't been going to show the last few days because I sprained my ankle playing basketball!!! Yes, I play basketball. It was the first game of my league. And I'm sooo playing again this Thursday. ; )

Despite what their myspace says, they are from Orange County and will be playing KUCI Nights at the Yost Theater on August 27. NEW music video by THE COLOURIST!!

I may be a little behind this week because I went on a spur of the moment cruise to Mexico... and still I feel like everything is rocking back and forth...but here is the NEW video by The Colourist. They released their new EP and video this past Friday at the Yost Theater in Santa Ana. I heard it was some shindig. I'm bummed I missed it. : (
