From laid back groove to upbeat funk (with most tracks falling inbetween), this jazz tinged album sounds like a soundtrack to a pimp documentary. Though drum loops and keyboards dominate, piano, bass, guitar, and people pretending to be trumpets make it feel more organic. And poor production is usually outweighed by good songs.
