Racking up attention before these kids graduated from high school, The Rondelles, now in their early twenties, show that this attention is still well deserved with their new release. Their sound is reminiscent of 80’s garage-y, Brit poppy, 50’s soda shop rock ‘n’ roll. Fronting the band, singer Juliet Swango’s voice sounds pleasantly like a neighborhood girl singing uninhibited in her room, giving this band an overall riot grrl feel. The track titled “T.V. Zombie” catches the essence of this album- 50’s like clapping in the background while Swango sings about a secret crush she has on a boy who’s glued to his television set. So simple, and still oh-so-good!
