On their third full length, The Faint comes back with synthesizer laden dance music. Known for pushing the boundaries of rock music, this band manages to remain rooted in punk rock without ever picking up a traditional guitar. ‘Danse Macabre’ is chock full of beats and 80’s-like synthesizer tunes that are haunting and danceable all on the same go. Despite the dark subject matters that the lyrics on this album revolve around, ‘Danse Macabre’ is delightfully fun to listen to. With a mixture of electronic and rock, who can go wrong?
