'Music from the Tea Lands', one of the latest releases from Putumayo World Music, features music from Tartarstan, China, Pakistan, India, Japan, Turkey, Iran, Indonesia and the U.S. After the first four songs, the album takes a downward turn toward the banal and uninspired. Unfortunately, 'Music from the Tea Lands' starts with a bang, but ends with a whimper.
