David Axelrod out with a new album? Swat away the disbelief because here it is. Although not completely new (many of these tracks were recorded way back in the day try 1969- and have been sampled by numerous DJs of yore) most of these tracks (although traced with vintage-ness) are still pretty solid. Mix these old tracks with the contemporary sounds of his new collaborations (just to name drop - MC Ras Kass, Ernie Watts, etc.), and you have the essence of Axelrod’s new album - jazz, classical, rock, and pop, all in one go.
