Alright, one thing one can look forward to when listening to “Audioboxer” are the brisk piano riffs that are incorporated into their pop-punk songs. What one shouldn’t expect, however, are deep and meaningful lyrics. This EP is full of teen bopping angst which comes through in front guy, Andrew’s, singing. I have seen this band being described as a mix between Ben Folds Five and Blink 182, although I must admit that Something Corporate’s music can’t exactly be described as original. As far as power pop goes, however, it’s pretty easy and radio friendly listening.
