Monday November 24, 2008 Playlist

This week I played a long set of Bossa Nova songs as the beginning of my tribute to Bossa Nova. This year is the 50th Anniversary of Bossa Nova music. The First 50 Years Of Bossa Nova as Oscar Castro-Neves says. I will be playing much more of this wonderful music in the following weeks so stay tuned!

I also played a Filipino set today that ended with the amazing Bobby Enriquez. He is one
of my favorite piano players. He plays fast, he plays wild, he plays with such soul and intensity, he plays with a sense of humor at times and he is able to mix musical styles/genres at will in the middle of a song. Truly amazing!
