The pictures above and to the right of Lee "Scratch" Perry and Reggae Historian Roger Steffens are a highlight in Uptown Top Ranking history. Jah-T created this T-Shirt, which we gave to "Scratch" onstage at the Coach House in 1997. This was amazing enough to have given Scratch this shirt, but even more to see him wearing it. Recently we had a chance to ask Lee himself about the shirt, and he compared its softness to that of silk and asked for other colors. Lee is one of our favorites on the radio. Our favorite DJ, Roger Steffens, made his way by the station to guest DJ a shows worth of rare and tasty Marley. This was an honor to have Roger in the studio as we all grew up listening to him on his crucial program the "Reggae Beat" on KCRW 89.9fm in Santa Monica for years.

January 2001, Roger opened his "world of Reggae" exhibit at the Queen Mary and Big Jim was honored to be asked to be the tour guide showing many international fans around the huge collection of autographed 7" singles, poster, flags, t-shirts. Also visiting the exhibit reggae legends, Ras Michael, Rita Marley, Judy Mowatt, and Marcia Griffiths, Ziggy and Kymani Marley, Jah B Bunny Wailer, Tony Chin, Bread of Wailing Souls, Radic Dwight Pinkney, Haile Maskell, Majek Fashek, Tippa Irie and Lee Jaffe, Neville Garrick. We thank Roger for sharing with many this mighty collection and his vision.
