Extra Drive for Lan Man using 24F Ultrastor

We are a school (in the Channel Isles off the U.K.)currently using an
Ultrastor 24F controller for a single disc Lan Man server of 650 meg
working under os 2 ver1.3. I have a tape drive also running from the 24f.

Can I fit an extra drive to the 24f? My supplier says I need to change
the controller card and drive and they want $3000 for this. Seems a shade
pricey!!!! I have a fair amount of tech knowhow but not much about os2

The extra capacity I want will be about 2Gig or less. I want to retain my
existing 650meg drive as the bootable drive.
