Poor performance under Win 95

Does anyone know anything about poor performance under Win 95? I recently upgraded to Win 95
and everything seemed to be going OK until I upgraded my TWAIN driver for my scanner. Now it's
like I'm typing in sand. The disk access seems very slow. I tried removing the twain entries in config.sys
but that did nothing. I also tried defragging the hard drive and running a disk check, but still nothing.

Is there any problem with 32 bit disk access, or something else related to my ULTRASTOR U34F
VL controller and Win 95 which could be causing the problem?

Any help would be appreciated.
