Old firmware problems... |

I've got an ancient 14f with firmware revision -002. This card seems to
have quite a few problems...
Does anyone know of a cheap someone-or-other who will burn an EPROM
for me? I have a feeling that if I could get modern firmware for this controller,
it would work well.
Here are some of the many problems:
- Some Iomega removeables lock the BIOS on bootup
- Floppy drive controller won't work reliably under MS-DOS or MS-Windows
- Excessive retries and lockups of the SCSI port under Linux
- Short blocks, cable intolerance
- Won't work quite quite a few systems around here
- Incompatibility with an excessive number of SCSI devices (around 30%)
When booting Linux, I get a message that basically tells me to trash the
board because its too old.
Anyone know of an EPROM burner or have any chips you want to sell me?
