Many have asked essentially the same question... so here is what my research turned up. There are no win95 drivers for the UDS-IS11 card, nor will the umax scanner show up in the win95 registry or device manager. The UDS card supports only this umax scanner and will NOT allow any sort of scsi pass-through. If you want to attach a Syquest or whatnot in a scsi chain with your scanner, you will have to purchase a true scsi card, like a buslogic or an adaptec.
If all you want to do is use your scanner, the card /should/ configure itself for your system automatically. The software bundled with the scanner should find the card itself, ala win3.1 drivers, and allow complete functionality despite the lousy interface and driver arrangement. I tossed my UDS card for a true scsi months ago, so my memory is a little foggy on the setup, but from what i do remember... everything should work just fine in win95, in theory.
One person found that his interface card was damaged. If you have tried everything, and still can't get it to work, try contacting Umax to get a replacement. Apparently the company that made Umax's interface cards has gone out of business, so you will probably be given a stripped-down Adaptec card. Hope this helps.
have a good one...
