The Thermals - Desperate Ground - Saddle Creek
The first thing I did when I saw this new album in the station was listen to it from start to finish. I definitely have a special place in my heart for this band. They are poetic and truly genius in their lyrical writings. Their songs get you thinking and appreciating how some words go so well together. They say going to Catholic school polarizes people to believe in one extreme or the other. The Thermals have done a great job with tapping into their skeptical side and translating it through music.

Devendra Banhart - Mala - Nonesuch
Devendra is on fire, always. But this time, the fire is like that of roasting a perfect marshmallow, perfect with a golden color. This album is mellow and still catchy with Devendraís sexy voice that can swoop anyone off their feet. It is to be listened to on the weekends that are meant to be for relaxing and recharging after having spent a week at your friendís wedding parties.

James Blake - Overgrown - Republic
This album is dripping with emotion. With a beat backdrop, and a voice that can kill slowly from the inside, this album will put you in that weird mood where you wake up from a nap and donít really know where you are or what you were doing before. Itís quite sad, but so beautiful.

Youth Lagoon - Wondrous Bughouse - Fat Possum
This album is a mellow electronic experience that will have you wanting to be a more graceful person on your downtime.

Bazooka - Bazooka - Slovenly
With some songs sung in Greek, itís catch city with lo-fi grunge punk jump up and down tunes that will have you craving chocolate chip pancakes after trying too hard to figure out what the lyrics are, since they are so muffled and hard to comprehend. Itís just the right amount of heavy that will fill the cracks in your brain that ache for some fizz.

Dump - I Can Hear Music - Morr Music
This album is lo-fi drone with some heavy electric guitar infiltrations. ďWanted ManĒ however is a bit more folky than the rest. Having lots of songs in the album afford for lots of potential gems that your ears will love. Oh and did I mention itís an output of James McNew of Yo La Tengo...yeah.

Bill Ryder-Jones - A Bad Wind Blows in my Heart - Domino
This album is so warm and melodic, itís hard to listen to it in the spring. The piano couples with the lovely guitar music so nicely, it makes my heart hurt.

Mia Dyson - The Moment - The Co-Op
From Australia, Dysonís unique voice pierces straight into my soul. Singing about fundamental yearnings makes this album very relatable and enjoyable knowing youíre not alone.

Dead Can Dance - In Concert - Pias
I invite you to an adventure, itís not in another country, itís not even outside your house...itís in this album, and it will take you places youíve never been before. Itís worldly, with a combination of different melodies and instruments from all over the world. You wonít regret it.
